The Curator Portfolio
As a native of Detroit now living in Paris, I have been shaped by the vibrant cultural landscapes of both cities. Growing up as a black woman in Detroit, I was influenced by the thriving music and art scenes that celebrated black creativity and resilience. Moving to Paris, I found inspiration in the rich history of art and the diversity of cultures that converge in the city. Drawing from my experiences in both cities, I brings a unique perspective to my curatorial work, highlighting the intersections of identity, history, and creativity in contemporary art.

An Ode to Blackness…Everwhere
“This month, Heath and the POPOUT team have woven many of these threads into an exhibit at AUP’s Fine Arts Gallery, the University’s first in honor of Black History Month, called “An Ode to Blackness...Everywhere.” The show explores questions of identity and celebrates the beauty, power and diversity of Black culture across the globe.”
